Now that was an interesting Mix-Media ride…. Great weather for March!! Nice and cool and just a few spots that had moderate/strong headwinds. Looks like the best weapon of choice was MTB…. But CX was very close… 😉
Great turn-out for this one. We had 41 sign-up and 38 show up…
- 20 folks started the full, 11 finished and 2 bailed to the half.
- 18 folks started the half and 17 finished with the 2 from the full start.
Congrats to:
- Nate Berg for top bragging rights for kicking ass on the full.
- Chris Hereford for top SS bragging rights completing the full on SS CX in 2nd place.
- Mindy Caruos for best female attempt of the full course.
- Dylan Harp for top half. Screaming fast, as usual…
- Rose Hack and Beth Olsen for co-top female on the half. Nice job ladies!!
Special Thanks to:
- Brandi Hibner for being the “unofficial” at the start to sign in folks and run the staggered start.
- Chris Hereford for his warped mind in thinking up this course.
- Anatoly Zlotnik for taking time to take pictures… 😉

Nice long down hill on Progress Blvd getting close to the final Bosque stretch.
Thanks to everyone for coming out for this extremely varied loop of the city. Mtb, CX, geared, singlespeed, I don’t think it mattered too much, we all had fun trying this “mixed media” route. And, yes, the volcano trails did beat me up on narrow 35’s, but it was a great adventure. See you at SYDC soon! (Everyone that came gets free entry in the Mad Cow 180!)
Moo!
