Wind Suck, Beer Good!!
Well we can’t always have a perfect day for these endurance events!! That tail wind sure was nice coming back…
We had 88 people sign-up and 69 show up for a record attendance!!
Congrats to Robert B Parrish and Judd Rohwer for being the only ones to brave the winds all day to complete the full 123 miles route!!
Special thanks to:
-
Vince Hinman for opening the shop early so we had restrooms and a place to stay warm before the start,
-
John Franklin for SAG support getting drop bags out to the NGCS
-
Donna James for taking care of the sign-in
-
Judd and Tedd Rowler for cleaning up the leftovers at the NGCS.
You all ROCK!!
I appologize for forgetting the sign-out instructions. i.e. If clip boards not on my van windshield, they are with me in the brewery…
Please post your ride reports as comments at the bottom of this page and send me any pictures you would like to post.

What a great first experience with the NMES! Thanks Lenny for all your hard work.
Thanks for all your hard work Lenny, Vince, John, Donna, Judd & Tedd! Good times!
Thanks to all the above mentioned folks.
Thanks Lenny for keeping this event and the series going.
Great scheduling to have the event after Pipeline road was recently graded! The road to White Mesa had some good hard pack which was also helpful to offset the wind a little.
BTW, Donovan was a SSer also.
Thanks for putting on a great event, I’m glad I was able to make it this year!
(One correction on the results, I was on a SS, thank you)
