Wow, great day on the bike even though I only got 35 miles on the bike computer. I had to bail after getting quad and hamstring cramps on windsor. Was great fun with great people. What a blast bombing down bear wallow and windsor with Doug da goat!

I too need to clean my slate of DNF's.....:P

Wow. What a day. The weather was perfect, just enough rain to provide a cool off and a little mud splatter. After grunting away for eleven hours (yes I know that's an hour and a half longer than it took Jens to finish the whole thing) I found myself at the bottom of Pacheco Canyon wondering if I had the strength or the day light to continue. I opted out but it gives me hope to hear those final climbs are perhaps not as daunting as they seem. Definitely will go for it next year, daylight or no daylight. Thanks for putting on this event, it provided me much excitement and trepidation. Can't wait for another shot next year.
Awesome job to all those who finished and all those who didn't!

What a monster day on the bike...even though I only logged 7:15mins (started at Chamisa and finished at Bear Wallow turnoff coming down winsor). Jens is a MONSTER as you all know and a long day on the bike with him is a good day on a bike. The trails were killer, exactly what I needed in mid-July of a long race year...a good "fun" ride. Maybe one day I'll be able to finish one of these things with you guys...not tomorrow - legs still to sore!

What a great day for a long ride! Thanks for running the show Jens and Lenny. I think the Rancho Viejo piece should be required routing for next year. And maybe Jens can do two laps of the entire SFBFL to make it a challenge.
I only got way off route three times yesterday, and no, it wasn't dead batteries on my PGPS. I'll have to ride faster next time, so I can follow one of you GPS'ers. But what would 13 hours on the bike be like if I weren't alone for most of it?
