Hey Rich,
FYI…the Capulin trail portion of NBT has quite a few more downed trees but all in the section where most of the downed trees are from years past. Also, the 2 track road down OK Canyon has been freshly obliterated by the FS and is tank-trapped and covered in logs. Looks like you can stay straight on the main road and hook back in and not have to walk.
No one has flattened out the EBT or removed all the rocks from Bull Springs to Osha but maybe, just maybe, that will happen before September

One of the Colorado guys asked for suggestions for hotels. Do you think one could camp or poptop in the parking lot of the coffee shop? Any other suggestions?

Hey Eli,
Since the Bean is right on the main drag you might have issues with the local police seeing ya there… not sure, just my thought. Not sure about other locations close by since I do the hotel thing…

Hello all,
This is a reminder to all that the week is a bit chilly. WeatherUnderground predicts Taos for Saturday with a low of 47 at 6am, and a high of 70 at 12pm. Additionally, there is a 30% chance of rain from now until Sunday.
Can anyone report on what the trail is like in the rain? If it turns to the Adobe of Cedro Peak down here by Albuquerque, then I’d like to know. I know this is the ENDURANCE series, but still, give me a heads up.
Take care.
Eli

Weather is looking wet for sat. How will we know if its too wet to ride, before we get into the popular trails, and tear it up?
Any taosers planning on riding?
The trails were nice last weekend, but I don’t know how much it rained the week before.
